Final results

• Detailed analysis of initial battery and battery pack data for standard IEC 61427-2 testing was performed.
• Test results showed differences in polarization and efficiency at high rate of discharge between bi-polar batteries and conventional batteries.
• Health of each battery module in a pack was determined by analyzing minimum discharge voltage, open-circuit potential and charge voltage.

Impact

This research project has provided valuable insights into optimization pathways for this solar-inspired lead battery technology, particularly for use in the booming market of household energy storage.
